Many people told me that if I wrote a blog, they would read it. Not really sure if that would be true or not, but I figured either way I could benefit from writing since it’s cathartic. After being inspired to write from reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle, I figured if she can do it then I can do it too. And in this day and age I feel as though we could all use a little unconventional therapy every once in awhile.
I have an autoimmune disorder (Rheumatoid Arthritis) that has plagued my life on and off for the last 10 years. After a lot of acceptance and fighting for the life that I want, I have figured out how to live in peace with it. I haven’t been too worried about being immunocompromised until recently when a killer virus has been raging across the United States that could do/has done some serious damage. One positive outcome from this epidemic is that many people are more aware of invisible illnesses and it has given me a platform to talk and educate people in my life about the disease. I will probably spend most of this blog talking about my great loves: travel, animals, and wine. I’ll also touch on RA a bit because it is a large part of who I am, although it is not all I am.
